Excuse to eat

The story of "Povod Yest" began with the book Honest Food. After reading it, the future owner, Elena, wanted to create a heartfelt place you want to return to. The format combines several scenarios: master classes, where guests cook together with the chef and learn new dishes; dinners for those who simply want to eat well; and intimate celebrations for the closest people.
The space is small, so the main task was to make it warm and family-cozy, rather than just a functional kitchen.

The studio is located in the historic part of Mogilev, and the interior builds on this context. The old brick on the walls was preserved and made into a backdrop. On it, an eclectic mix is assembled: vintage furniture, antiques and flea-market finds sit alongside modern details — that is, tiles, lights and individual pieces of furniture.

The palette is built on natural shades and textures. The main color is a deep green on the walls, which, together with the dark furniture, textiles and paintings of English domestic life, evokes associations with England for many guests. The symbol of the space became the duck, a traditional image of the home hearth.

About the project

Master classes are held here, and guests can feel like real chefs. Modern tile and lighting make this zone practical while still not clashing with the overall atmosphere of the old times.

A place for dinners and intimate celebrations, where vintage furniture, textiles and paintings work toward the feeling of a home table rather than a restaurant hall.
