An apartment in a new building: a kitchen-living room with a dining area, a bedroom with access to a loggia, a hallway and a bathroom. The task was to create a light, calm interior with character and well-thought-out storage, in which the small area doesn't feel cramped.
The starting point of the interior is Bali: its greenery, warm light and unhurried rhythm of life, translated into the language of a city apartment. The main recurring device is painted ceilings with cornices: light sage in the shared zone, deep olive in the bedroom, brought down onto the walls as a frieze. The creamy walls in places received a hand-textured relief plaster that references island architecture. The Balinese mood is set by natural materials: oak, rattan, Vienna cane weaving, jute, travertine and terrazzo.
The center of the zone — a sage velvet sofa on a wooden base and a striped jute rug. The TV wall is highlighted with relief plaster. Nearby stand a solid oak cabinet with brass handles and a coffee table with a terrazzo-look top on wooden ball supports.
A sage floor lamp, a glossy side table and a green-toned abstract piece pull the palette together, while large plants enliven the corner by the window.
