A commercial space on the ground floor with high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling glazing for the houseplant studio "TropicAnna." As the photos show, the space combines several functions: a shop with a live assortment, a display of planters and accessories, a work area with a kitchen and a corner where you can sit down.
The main material of the interior is the plants themselves, so the architecture works as a background and frame for them. The lower part of the walls is light and warm. The upper part of the walls and the ceiling with exposed concrete slabs are painted in sage green, which continues the color of the foliage and visually pulls the tall volume together. Black metal is used for the shelving, hanging shelves, track lights and the frames of the storefront glazing: it reads graphically and doesn't compete with the greenery.
A warm note is given by the sand-peach tile with dark grout and terrazzo on the floor. Red and bordeaux serve as accents: the cabinet by the entrance, the display shelving, the side table, the lampshade of the wall lamp. This color sits opposite green on the color wheel, so the foliage looks brighter against it. The recurring motif is the monstera leaf: it appears in the logo on the clear acrylic sign, in the linear drawings on the storefront glass and, of course, in the plants themselves.
The center of the space — a large island table on a black metal frame, clad entirely in square sand-colored tile, including the tabletop. On the seating side, an open storage system with drawers is exposed, and part of it is closed off with a gathered linen curtain. Tall sage-colored stools echo the tone of the ceiling.
Above the island, a two-tier black shelf is suspended on rods: on it stand scindapsus, nephrolepis, rhipsalis and dischidia, which hang down in cascades, while spot lights built into its underside illuminate the table.
